Solid Modeling

Conceiving and generating new ideas is one thing but touching, feeling and seeing them is another. Industrial designers must make their ideas tangible early and often, so they can prove or disprove concepts. This takes engineering skills along with advanced tools including solid and 3D modeling.

In the Solid Modeling stage, a product’s fully dimensional form is developed and realized through 3D modeling. Computerized 3D animation creates a visual wireframe, allowing the design to be viewed from all angles prior to creating a prototype. Our designers and engineers can test and adjust:

  • Dimensions
  • Weight and Volume
  • Surfaces
  • Form
  • Points of strength or weakness

The Solid Model then becomes a blueprint for the prototype, allowing you to merge abstract aesthetic and cold hard function.
